Kids In Jukido

Fight versus Self Defense

Both participants know they are in a fight.  Only one person knows that an attack is going to occur…the attacker.  The infamous “meet you behind the gym at three” is a fight.  Being jumped on the way home is a self defense situation.  Kokondo gives you the confidence to defuse the first and appropriately respond to the other.

Jukido is effective:

Jukido is designed to make the opponents strength work against them.  A smaller child can neutralize a bully’s attack using this jujitsu system.

Example of  Jukido Instructor’s “words to live by”

Do Your Best!

Rudeness is a weak persons imitation of strength.

What have you said or done today to make someone feel good.

No peer has the right to hurt you.

Defend against words with words not fists.

Nothing good comes easy.

There is no such thing as a stupid question.

Focus on your homework with the same single mindedness as you do when breaking a board.

Making mistakes is ok its how we learn.

Show your spirit in how you hold your body, walk tall, sit straight.
